Conservatorio di Musica Arrigo Boito of Parma is a pivotal centre dedicated to providing artistic training, educations, specialisation, research and production at the highest level in the field of music.
The Conservatorio di Musica Arrigo Boito of Parma counts over 900 students per year from all over the world and it is the Italian Musical Institution with the highest rate of foreign students (26%).
Thanks to its prestigious faculty formed by 150 highly qualified teachers, it offers regular courses and degrees in the most various areas of music studies, such as singing, classical instruments, composition & conducting early music, jazz, pop music and new technologies.
The Conservatorio di Musica Arrigo Boito of Parma takes part in international networks as an active member of AEC as a HEI awarded with the Erasmus+ ECHE, and as a participant in the Turandot Program between Italy and China. It is actively participating in the Erasmus Programme since 2002. It counts more than 60 international agreements with HEIs all around the world. It took part in the IP Haydn Progressive (2009-2011) and joined three mobility consortias (CON.C.ER.T.O, A.R.T.S., Sued Nord). It has participated in the strategic partnership VoxEarlyMus (2015-2018). It has been granted with funds for the International Credit Mobility action KA107 during 2015/16, 16/17 and 17/18, with the Gnesins Academy, in Moscow.
The Conservatorio di Musica Arrigo Boito of Parma artistic production counts more than 100 events per season, either independent ones or in cooperation with other public or private bodies such as the Teatro Regio di Parma, the Arturo Toscanini Foundation, the University of Parma, the Istituto Nazionale di Studi Verdiani, the Casa della Musica di Parma.
